LET’S GO CAMINO
Let’s Go Camino is quite simply a project about walking, transformation and change. The idea is to encourage young people just to walk and talk; as a way of connecting with their environment, friends and more importantly, with themselves.
We are living in complicated times whereby many young people are experiencing excessive stress, anxiety and a sense of feeling lost within themselves, partly due to increased digital dependency and in certain cases, social-economic factors.
By celebrating the age-old technique of walking-trekking in a natural or urban environment, Let’s Go Camino is a project about connecting with yourself and empowering young people to establish a deeper and clearer idea of who they are.
One proposal is a 4-day walking trip from Pamplona to Logroño along the Camino de Santiago. An ancient and vibrant path on which to connect with nature and people from all over the world. This walk is 98km long, roughly 22km per day (any change can be made to the distances/days/routes).
However, living in a city like Barcelona, allows us to easily enjoy the cityscape, coastal paths and the nearby parks on foot, such as La Collserola. With this in mind, walking activities and cultural walks can be organised on a more frequent basis, leaving from urban meeting points and walking together into nature or a specific urban route.
One example would be from Barcelona to Sant Cugat; 12km through a beautiful green national park, or leaving the city via the coastal paths up towards Maresme.
Activities along the walk:
Create a video diary
Capture daily reflections and experiences through short audiovisual pieces, encouraging observation and storytelling.
Use of different languages
Promote natural communication in different languages within real-life situations and group interaction.
Stretching & yoga sessions
Incorporate simple body practices to improve awareness, relaxation, and physical well-being during the journey.
Develop self-sufficiency
Encourage autonomy and responsibility through real challenges such as planning, decision-making, and daily routines.
Enjoy group connection
Strengthen relationships through shared experiences, open conversations, and collaborative dynamics.
There is also the opportunity to talk 1:1 with our coaches along the route, discussing anything that comes to mind and always in a strictly confidential manner. This is the initial proposal for LET’S GO CAMINO, however there are many other possibilities for collaborations;
- Day/Afternoon walks from schools
- Monthly weekend walks inside/outside the city, with families.
